IURIS is proud to announce the launch of its new Iberian Desk bringing a new dimension to the firm, thanks to its recent collaboration with consultant João Paulo Teixeira de Matos.

The Iuris Iberian Desk addresses the needs of Iberian Clients (Portuguese and Spanish) seeking advice in Maltese Law as well as the needs of Maltese Clients with interests in the Iberian Peninsula. Thanks to this new department, set up in collaboration with Cardigos, IURIS is now in a unique position to provide legal and tax advice when Malta, Portugal or Spain are the jurisdictions involved, and can liaise with correspondent law firms in Latin America. The Iberian Desk offers also the legalization of documents with official validity in Portugal. Iuris will therefore now have its Iberian desk while Cardigos will have its Maltese desk, both coordinated by João Paulo Teixeira de Matos who will lead the team. The services are provided in Portuguese, Spanish, English and Maltese.
Appointment of João Paulo Teixeira de Matos as Iuris Consultant
João Paulo Teixeira de Matos, admitted in Portugal and Malta and former partner of the leading Iberian law firm Garrigues. He will serve as a vital point of reference and will no doubt provide a valuable contribution in the services being offered to the Spanish and Portuguese clients interested in what Malta has to offer, as well as to Maltese individuals and entrepreneurs who may be looking at opportunities in Spain and Portugal.
